Office of Organizational Advancement

The Office of Organizational Advancement (OOA) is tasked with developing a variety of ways in which people and organizations can support the strategic vision, mission, financial, cultural and spiritual goals of Blacktown, N.e.w.b.i.a. (BTN). Our vision and mission are clear and noble. Our strategic goals are established annually, as they are achieved, new and more engaging ones are approved through an inclusive process that involves meaningful input from our Inhabitants, partners, the community and our stakeholders. The OOA specifically strives to achieve BTN goals through a rigorous and focused fund development plan that includes stewardship, gifts, donations and other means, as well as implementation of a comprehensive marketing/communications plan that focuses on the consistent needs for BTN to not only survive, but to thrive.

We function daily with BTN’s Philosophy and Core Values at the center of all efforts. Integrity is not just a word at BTN, it is a way we function and operate while cultivating a lifestyle that drives how we do things. Our Strategic Plan is made possible because we are an integral part of its development and obviously a significant portion of its activities. Raising funds is achieved when we raise relationships.

The OOA basic objectives include:

  • Ethically and professionally raise philanthropic funds for BTN
  • Effectively communicate the accomplishments of BTN to Inhabitants, stakeholders and constituents
  • Provide a transformative experience for our Inhabitants
  • Easily contact us anytime.
  • Strategically invest in all of our programs and projects for the benefits of Inhabitants
  • Partner together with a wide array of people to tell our unique and compelling story

Planned Giving
When you include a gift to BTN as part of your legacy, you are continuing a tradition that has spanned many years to assist organizations in meeting goals in a structured way. You may confer with legal counsel to learn how to achieve this strategic gifting plan.
To Give by Check or Money Order

To make a gift by credit card, please complete the online donation form here. A receipt will be provided after payment is processed.
To give by employer matching gift
Many employers sponsor programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees, allowing you to double or even triple the value of your gift. Contact your employer’s Human Resources Office to find out how and if your employer participates in such a program.
To give by beneficiary designations

Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using: 

IRAs and retirement plans; Life insurance policies; and Commercial annuities.

You will need to contact your bank, retirement representative or insurance agent to make this gift.

To give Appreciated Securities
Donating stock or some mutual funds is an extremely tax-beneficial way to make a gift to BTN. In gifting appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual fund shares that you have owned for at least one year, you may enjoy one or a combination of the benefits. You should contact legal counsel or your banking institution for guidance.
